Muse style – Want to dress like Sienna?

Styling note, from Jennifer Schneider of The Loved Object

Do you love the relaxed chic look that Sienna Miller seems to somehow always pull off effortlessly? Would you like to build a laid-back and timeless wardrobe uniform like Jennifer Aniston? How about flexing your casual/cool street cred like Emilia Clark’s off-duty style?

I’ve designed two looks for each of these Vildnis muses showcasing how they achieve their looks, what pieces they would buy and why. Steal their tricks and use my tips to find which Vildnis pieces work best for your style and approach to getting dresses.

Sienna Miller

Relaxed Chic, Effortless, LA Vibe

Part of Sienna’s allure is her ability to create ensembles that suit her colouring, body shape and personal aesthetic perfectly. After years of practice she has her looks down to a tee.

Look 1: This whimsical printed blouse has a soft looseness that gently grazes over your frame with a contemporary nod to the bohemian, that is very common in Sienna’s style. Especially with these wide leg light wash jeans, which create the illusion of legs for miles. Tuck the blouse in to create waist definition and showcase your womanly frame. Button it low with a soft lacy bra underneath and a delicate necklace to complete the look. This print works just as well on blondes and brunettes and with all skin tones. Now that is a great design!

Sienna would pair this look with a plush jacket to feel cosy and sensual. The cream palette makes this look luxurious and chic, Sienna’s signature. As the shape is simple, in a neutral colour, it is super versatile and a great wardrobe staple to mix and match with. Finish the look with pointed toe heels to further extend your legs and make the look long and cool.

Look 2: Sienna loves a long printed dress or jumpsuit and so do I. With an easy waistband this jumpsuit gives you definition without being figure hugging. Great for a summer day (and night) with just a simple thin necklace or big hoops for a little drama. Wear with espadrilles for the day and heels at night. Keep your hair loose and beachy for both but add a smoky eye and nude glossy lip for evening. Pair with a great structured clutch to finish the look.

Jennifer Aniston

Laid Back, Timeless Uniform

When off-duty you will see Jennifer in one of her signature uniform looks, which ninety percent of the time is jeans and a t-shirt. And why not, the look is tailored on the bottom showcasing her great figure while comfortable and flexible suiting her lifestyle perfectly. She keeps her look fresh by mixing up her accessories and maximising her investment in great basics.

Look 1: Speaking of basics, black skinny jeans and a great white t-shirt will get you a lot further than you think. Imagine any kind of boot, long or ankle, flat or heeled, these two pieces always work and feel totally different just with a shake-up of your shoes. For a more casual weekend look pair with a cosy sweater jacket like this one which feels a little extra special with design details like contrasting stitching and patch pockets. However, if you are hankering for a great leather jacket a la Jennifer, hold your breath (spoiler alert), Vildnis has one coming next season and I am very excited about it!

Look 2: Jennifer loves a long languid dress in a solid colour or print just like this. Make it a little rock and roll with a heavy black leather ankle boot, a little bohemian with a brown suede ankle boot, beachy with strappy sandals, daytime with espadrilles or for a dinner date with a sexy chunky heeled sandal. See what I mean, great basics, multiple ways, just with a flip of the shoe.

Emilia Clark

Cool and Casual Street Style Vibe

I love that harder side that Emilia sometimes lets loose. Think coal rimmed eyes, defined matt lips and dark nail polish. Then look for plays on proportions or interesting use of materials, like cropped or sheer tops. Remember, a little edge goes a long way.

Look 1: This is my favourite Saturday brunch look. Laid back, with a little attitude and a whole lot of cool. Note the proportions, everything is oversized, the jeans slightly, the top a lot, but cropped to show your waistline (crucial to not overwhelm your frame) and the jacket looks like you borrowed your boyfriend’s, how sweet. Wear with biker boots or Stan Smiths and cool sunglasses.

Look 2: I find nothing sexier than an over-size shirt in a slightly sheer material with a black bra underneath. Very French. If you have more of an hourglass silhouette, make sure to do a little side tuck to emphasize your waist, otherwise the shirt could swallow your frame whole. If your body type is straight, leave the top loose and enjoy the feeling of it gliding over your body.

The key with both these looks is to balance proportions. If you have a voluminous garment on top, you need to counter-balance on the bottom with something slim and vice versa. For this look I paired black skinny jeans which are always slimming making this look super flattering and very easy to wear. For the day have your hair messy and up and wear sneakers or flat ankle boots, for the evening let your hair down but still messy, add a red lip and roll up the sleeves. Very sexy in an understated way.

Now go out and channel that inner muse in your own personalised way, by taking these tips and tricks and using them in your own wardrobe, with a little help from Vildnis of course.

Much Love
