One of my husband’s favourite ’games’ on a night out with friends is the ’would you rather game’. Would you rather drink prune juice or tomato juice? And would you rather swim across the english channel or run a Marathon des Sables? Or would you rather be stuck on a island with Putin or Trump? You get the picture! Who inspires you?

Who inspires you? Who are your role models? On a personal level, several people have inspired me throughout my life, from childhood through to the current day. They are all people with a solid set of good moral values and open minds. People who care about and respects other humans, animals and nature. On a professional level, there are a dozen people that I admire and view as my role models. These are people who, along with a good moral compass, have a great desire to make the world a better place and the courage to act on that desire. Sticking to our core values

When I was a teenager I sold out on one of my values, the freedom to make my own choices. I wanted to get a nose piercing and my parents cleverly offered me a pair of the coolest roller-blades if I agreed to wait until my eighteenth birthday. I never got the nose piercing… I did, however, later reflect on how easily I traded away a core value for what was effectively a status symbol amongst my friends.
