The majority of our products are made in either the charming Braga region of Portugal or vibrant New Delhi in India, across two small factories run by people who are as passionate about revolutionising the fashion industry as we are. We share common values of innovation, sustainability in materials and processes, and caring for the people working in the industry.

As Portugal must adhere to high EU standards, we already have assurance that our Portuguese supplier maintains excellent working conditions and pay fair wages. However, we also carry out annual factory audits to check that everything is in order and suggest ways for the factories to continually improve.

Our Indian supplier is equally committed to paying all their workers well above the national minimum wage and goes through SMETA audits once a year carried out by an independent auditor. Changing the norms in the fashion industry is as important to them as it is to us, and hence they have invested heavily in Italian state-of-the-art technology saving thousands of litres of water.

Portugal’s short distance from the UK means that we can minimise our carbon footprint by transporting all goods from our Portuguese supplier by road. Our small batch quantities from India are transported by air and the resulting carbon emissions are offset via Climatecare.

We want our products to become your wardrobe favourites for years to come, which is why we have made India and Portugal our countries of choice for manufacturing as both countries have a long-standing tradition of garment production.

Renowned for their workmanship and attention to detail, our carefully chosen manufacturers work a high standard which marries perfectly with our desire to deliver the highest quality and seriously stylish products to you.

Most of the fabrics we use are sourced locally in either India or Portugal, with the exception of a few specialised fabrics from made from recycled fibres. You can read more about our fabrics here

As a fashion brand wholeheartedly committed to leading the way in sustainability, our pledge to use environmentally friendly materials goes further than our fabrics.

Our combined brand and size label is made from soft woven recycled polyester, and the tag attached to the garment is made from recycled paper and secured with an organic cotton string. The care label inside the garment is made of woven satin in conventional polyester – we are still on the lookout for a supplier who can provide recycled polyester labels.

VILDNIS products are shipped to you from our UK warehouse, wrapped in beautiful recycled tissue paper with our bespoke print and finished with a recycled paper sticker. Equally, the enclosed returns form is printed on recycled paper while the mailing bag is 100% recycled polythene.

Feel good about your purchase knowing every little detail has been carefully considered to minimise our environmental imprint (and therefore yours).
